bargain-hounding scrounge that i am, i am trying to help toby find some suitable sails for DECISION, Commander #280 (my old boat). does anyone have the dimensions for the following:

180 genoa
150 genoa
working jib (the one with the little battens---i would call that a working jib myself, but don't know for sure which it is)

thanks,
dave

There are some sail dimensions listed on this link (scroll down a bit)

Those Genoa sizes are all percentages of the fore-triangle.  100% or 110% is the working jib size.  (The "J" measurement - mast to tack -  is nine feet 6 inches)  The manual shows only maximum measurements:

Working jib (110%):  Luff= 28' 6", Foot= 10' 4" and Leach= 25' 0"

155% Genoa: LP= 14.725', J= 9.5'

One of the "pre-owned" sail lofts should be able to use those numbers to find something that would fit.

thanks, guys...
the pre-owned lofts want a bit more than the fellows were hoping to spend at this time, so i'm scraping thru the oarclub unwanted sail loft as such to try and find something suitable for them for a bit less $$$$.
best,

Dave, thanks much.  You come through on this and I've a pair of oars on my workbench we can start negotiating with...  This helps my inquiry in the "Off Topics" forum.  Also, I saw a jib described by four dimensions, is that 4th number the 'J' measurement?  Keep me posted,

Toby

Probably the "LP"  i.e., luff perpendicular.
