2019 hoppe regatta coming saturday august 3

August 3, 2019, is the date when the Hoppe Memorial Regatta for Ariel and Commander skippers will take place on San Francisco Bay. This annual race is always filled with fun, excitement and suspense for the competitors. -- Did you pick the preferred direction around The Island? Where did that "wind hole" come from? Don't see anyone else, so am I leading or way behind? Current? What current?

        And remember, there's the lavish "awards gathering" following the race at a Local Yacht Club where you can share Stories & Excuses, Good food and Comradery.

Jeff Sullivan sailing NEMESES (C-151) is the winner of the 2019 Hoppe Regatta.  No excitement this year as he raced unopposed around Treasure Island.  We're expecting at least two challengers next year.
