I found this on a Commander and I don't know what it's for.

Thanks for posting this.  I got the same in my box-o-stuff and I have no clue.  I thought it might be some kid of slip-over-the-boom vang holder.  Inquiring minds want to know!

You got it!  I felt a little ripped-off after digging through all the stuff that came with 113 and there was none to be found.  Frame and matt worthy...

it's the claw for a roller boom, slips over the rolled sail for use as a vang I believe.
 Got one with the Triton, but not the Ariel.
 Odd, because the Triton had been converted to single line reefing, and the Ariel still has roller boom.
