I rather miss the old titles like "Vice Commador."

REGISTERED USER
sounds like what I would be called at a methadone treatment center.

I think I lost my title in a doping scandal (too many dopey posts)

U.S.A.!!

Patience, patience.  We are searching for the posting status ranks and counter.  All things related to the board were allegedly "saved" in a special file, so I'm sure we will shortly have everyone returned to their earned rank.

About those titles--how are they assigned to the participants herein? Always wondered how that worked.

Bill

Your "rank" depends on your number of posts.  "Pearson Newbie's" have not reached the first level of the posting hierarchy which is the "Pearson Professional" rank, as I recall.

I'm as rank as the next guy.
And in the quasi military nomenclature we use, "registered user" is certainly in the grey area of "don't ask, don't tell" that  modern jocks in uniform are struggling with.
May I propose this list of rank from the glorious era of Parthian history:

Commander in Chief: ERAN SPAHBAD

C. of Cavalry:           ASPWARGAN  SALAR

C. of Archers:           TIRBODH

C. of Infantry:           PAYGAN  SALAR

C. of Frontier March:   MARZPAWN

C. of Interior March:    KENARANG

Definitely more pizzaz to these titles!
Egalitarian and fraternal, too.

Refer to me as Kenarang Ebb henceforth.
