my sailboat #263 was delivered today. I am almost ready to start working on her. Just have to finish up a few side jobs. Here are a few pics of the boat being unload.  I was kinda upset not being placed next to "thirsty" the 50 ft cigarette boat that blows through about 40 gallons of gas a hour.

You know, I just can't place it, but there is something really familiar about your boat...   :D

:DFunny, I was thinking the cigarette boat owner was eyeing your yacht and thinking .... WOW!! under 10 grand, wind powered, burns 5 gallons of fuel all season and is a chick magnet.... where can I get one..:D

Good Luck with the "new" boat

Very nice, I cant wait for mine to be delivered :)  Green must be the popular colour, as mine looks nearly identical to yours....

A Hearty Congratulations is in order! Wow, it appears that is the original blue gelcoat that Pearson used when she was built, is that true?  My Commander (#256) was originally the same color blue (gelcoat) but had been covered over in the past bygone years with paint, emerald green.
Welcome, and keep us posted with pics of course, as you get to know "her".

Mike
It could be the sister ship.

Your boat jumped out at me a couple of years ago when I saw an ad for it for sale in Vermont and posted it here. (I think it was the same one.) Then it showed up at Northeast Sailboat Rescue. Now she's a happy Ariel getting ready to do what she was made to do... again!  :)

PS. My original gelcoat color was royal blue. Not a bad color either...

It isn't the original gel coat it has been painted.

A little update, I have started working on my boat,  I am doing alot of sanding and cleaning work. Overall my boat was in pretty good shape. I have a few soft spots on my deck on the port and starboard side below the fixed windows it is a 2 by 1 foot area or soo.  I am also working on the interior,  I removed the ice box and some of the millwork,    In the next couple of weeks I can start devoting all of my time, here is a little side job i finished.  A hand carved letter sign out of old growth white pine 14ft by 29 inches and a carved applied lyre.  yeah  its not boats but its kinda of  neat

I've always thought a carved name board would look really nice on our transoms - looks like you actually have the skills to do it!  :p

Hello Tim,
You definately have skilled hands. I like your carvings, elegant.  Okay, now that you have shared that with us, I'm sure you'll keep us posted on your personalizing, updating and bringing your Ariel back to a new life.
Thanks for the photos, much appreciated.

The progress of my boat is starting to move,  I demoed most of the interior of the ariel, It was a punky. Cut up new lockers and countertops today, and probably start installing them by next weekend,
