Our boat suffered "snow damage" this year. One of the spreader bases broke with the weight of the snow load on the cover in the wrong spot . Boat should have been in Carribean during that time  to avoid such silly setbacks but reguardless, I am looking for a source  to purchase a set ,2 is better than 1 right? If anyone knows the answer to this I would appreciate any info . If not, I will assualt my machine shop friends which may not be when done with this task ...........GW

A few years ago, I made the same mistate.  Took it to a local welding shop.  For $10-15 he helearc'ed (the aluminum equivalent of welding) it and even added a powder paint coat to it.  Stronger than original.
