The 'then put another $2000 into her' would be VERY light when speaking about revival .....hope she gets out sailing lots.

Beleeeve me, Frank, I know-I know.  It surely shows in the 'Revival' thread.

That was just another way of saying, in the boating world, 1+2 never seems to equal more than 1!
I just can't firgure that one out.

I think there are 2 things that drive us 'ole boat guys'....an apprec. of the beauty of a design and the creativity of restoring.Albergs look great and sail great-period.None of it really makes sence...other than the satisfaction of saving an old boat and doing the mods that you dream up. Call me a fool or whatever...here's the latest project. http://sailfar.net/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=123 a mini ariel ;) Hope to sail it in 'The scoot' april 10. http://thescoot.com/   you're all welcome to join in...should be a hoot sailing in the scoot

Frank,
Hi, Thanks for posting some pictures of the Electra, I've been  meaning  to ask you to see some pictures of it. I also have an Electra (325) it's been a freshwater boat and stored under cover since 1987. I'm fortunate the hull and deck is in great shape, the interior has had a coat of house paint applied and sure needs a refit on the inside and a legal head. They sure have a boatload of wasted space in the interior and thru-hulls you can't reach in an emergency but how can you not love one?

Mighty big ocean for such a little boat. The last report I read was that she had lost her rig and was a few hundred miles away but still sailing........ed
