Dimensions of Outboard Well

Can anyone give me the dimensions of the hole for the outboard engine?? And for the plug that goes in it??

Joe, I will be driving down to see my boat tomorrow and it has the well and a plug.  I'll take some dimensions for you then and post them if no one else has done so.  Tim

Just measured mine, will be interested to see if (how much) it varies from Tims...

This dimensions are not exact, but are pretty close. The well is square, 13" on each side. The vertical walls of the well are about 1/2" thick. There is 2" or less of space between the bottom of the back well wall and the transom, and about 6.5" of space between the base of the front well wall and the forward bulkhead of the lazarette. The lip of the well is 1" wide, it flairs outward, projecting over the outside of the well wall.

The dimensions of my outboard motor well are approximately

12 1/2 to 13 inches wide at the top (inside dimension)
12 to 12 1/2 inches from front to back(inside dimension)
front side is approximately 11 inches deep
back side is approximately 6 inches deep

the front and back sides are slanted and roughly parallel the line of the transom

I totally forgot to take the measurements the last time I was at the boat.  I will take the measurements when she arrives to my house this Sunday.  It will be interesting to see what Pearson's tolerances were in constructing that particular part of the boat especially when comparing the earlier ones (like A-24) to the later ones.

You may have forgt before but you have remembered, that is the important thing.  I would definitley want more than just one set of measurements as she deserves to have me do this right the first time;  she's such a lovely boat!!
