Does anyone have the paddle wheel/thru-hull for a Kenyon knot meter lying around in their garage? Please PM me or let me know. Thanks!

i checked wickford marine consignment's wickford store and didn't see one. it may be worth calling Sam (401-295-9709) to see if there is one that i missed or one at his shop in Mystic. He has a ton of Kenyon displays, and piles of paddlewheels from several sources.

Thanks for the tip Bill!  I was able to pick up a display unit for cheap and have been thinking it might be nice to see my true speed through the water vs. GPS. Just Winter muddlings.

But the reality is, I have a host of other more important projects to occupy my time other than adding another thru-hull. Think it's worth it? Does Perriwinkle have a knot-meter?

A knot meter is on my perennial to-do list. I have a GPS for SOG and for amusement a 40 year old Walker taffrail log (mine isn't nearly as nice as this model):

the answer is yes i'll eventually add one if only to log speed thru water to a 10th of a knot and to record distance.:)

A taffrail log - cool!

Well, if A-231 isn't sporting one yet, chances are probably slim to none that I'll ever get around to doing it!  ;)

Now, as for distance, I would think it's the GPS that gives you your TRUE distance traveled...
