Out of Step

Need to pull my mast. Is there anyway it can be done without going to a yard and using a crane? The mast has not been off for 25 years that I know of. I can figure out a collar  and jack system for pulling it off the base but then  what do I do?
  Never mind why I have to do this. You probably already know how to get through the Richmond-San Rafael bridge!
