Just noticed, in the extreme upper left hand corner of the French title page, you can click on GB and get the story of Cogito in English, as soon as they get around to translating it.  Should be easier to understand this newest , nautical treasure, from the folks who gave us the Renault Dauphine, snotty waiters, and the Bikini.

Interesting - similar to inland lake scows which have two sideboards, but the Dutch version of the sideboards faces the wrong direction, it would seem.  They should be directed not towards the center, but be tipped towards the outside so they are vertical when the boat is heeling.  Visit //www.melges.com and click on SCOWS or go to the A class scows (38 feet) at http://www.ascow.org/.
