Nice, going potty in bags. Here's the solution your looking for, its hands free. That way you can stay busy handling the boat.

General/Off-Topic / Good Looking Commander
December 05, 2006, 04:31:37 PM
Thats a nice looking commander, makes me wish I never sold mine. (Wife didn't like my old stinky boat, made me buy a Newport 28, more room for the adults and kids.) For the equipment and sails listed the price isn't bad. I'd give em $4500.

General/Off-Topic / (2) Boats

I was really hoping you'd win this auction Pete. It would be cool seeing (2) commanders @ your slip. You would need (2) boats to store your belonging, since momma would kick you out of the house.

(slip is not transferable)

General/Off-Topic / For Sale

I bought this boat 2-1/2 yrs ago off of Bill Kerwin. Good boat, needs some work, just like the rest of these boats. I was single when i bought it, now married, 6mo old baby, and a house to fix on the weekends in lieu of sailing. I hate to see her go, but if Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.

Technical / Transom Mount Outboard
July 27, 2005, 01:03:19 AM
My commander has a transom mounted 8hp evinrude. Almost lost it last Sunday. When leaving Dana Point harbor there is alway turbulance at the mouth of the harbor (usually due to the 40' power boats). The waves appear to come from all directions, one wave stripped the outboard off the bracket while my buddy was controlling the throttle. He almost went overboard trying to hold the motor at about 1/4 throttle. The engine lift is now jammed in the down position.  I think my next step will be to remove it, & lose it in the drink. -My personal recommendation for outboards is to use the motor well.

Due to recent marriage, house purchase, kid on way, & just too many bills -the boat has gotta go. If anyone is interested in, or knows anyone who would like to purchase my clubhouse, let me know. Boat is located in Dana Point, CA. Its in OK condition, 8hp evinrude longshaft ob., main, jib, genoa in good condition, bbq, cooler, beer tap, electrical system needs work, & (2) stanchion bases require repair. -Sean
