S/V Bodacious Liberty came out of the water for a bottom painting. Here is a link to our video: https://youtu.be/rwts3WqgKBs

Hi all,

I started a Facebook group called Pearson Commander Sailboat Owners. If you do a search you should be able to find it quickly and join.

Does anyone know the original colors of the commanders? Mine is a hull 89 and it appears the deck was a yellowish color. The hull has been painted and I don't know what the original hull color was.

Thanks

Great work on the bottom and rudder!  I’ve been doing a lot of fiberglass work -  filling holes etc.

What did your bottom job entail? It looks like it was a major project.

Your bow stanchion looks new

I modernized some of my hardware. A single Spinlock XAS and Lewmar 7 on each side. The Spinlock were from my local marine consignment store and the Lewmars were from eBay. The original halyard setup on the Commander had terrible angles.

What tool do I use to cut the top layer of deck off so I can replace rotted core?

How do I make the cut so I don’t cut the core below, but just the fiberglass skin?

I was trying to get an idea of what was going on up the mast rigging-wise.
