My Atomic4 turned out to be a universal utility4, probably WWll, in very good condition, turns over and has compression, It is a BN1 model 6 volt with direct drive tranny, pic before rebuild.

Stingray Point Boat Works is selling this 1969 26' Pearson Ariel. This would be a great little project boat for the winter. This boat has been on the hard for at least five years.  No Engine. No sails, in Deltaville Virginia.

I just purchased a 1962 atomic 4, model bn1, ser. # 67620, looking for info on the engine, parts, I need manuals and a parts list, any help on this would be appreciated.
It has a generator instead of an alternator, I think the date of mfg is nov 1 1962'''

Thanks, I have secured the bottom of the shaft to the after market shoe with a 1/4-20 bolt and washers, it can not jump out of the (shoe) I had a hole drilled in the top of the shaft and tapped to take a 1/4-20 bolt, to mount a strap  there, just seemed to be a better application...

I have thoughts of not reinstalling the Gudgeon strap, the strap had worn a deep 1" wide groove in the old rod, maybe you could help by giving me reasons to reuse it, there are 4 large stainless screws through the shaft into the rudder and six layers of resin around the rod and over rudder. my thoughts are, enough is enough, but I am wrong on occasion.....

She is the inboard model, but the engine has been removed and a tohatsu 8 was mounted aft, she still has the drive shaft though, I am going to mount a Yamaha 9.9 high thrust for now and look for an atomic 4, gas or diesel.......

Thanks Ebb, I am sure she is pretty much the real thing, the cabin interior is original and looks good, just needs cleaning and some refits,
