General/Off-Topic / Looking for Used Sails
February 12, 2012, 12:56:27 PM
I have a mainsail, 120% genoa, 150% genoa, storm trisail and storm jib for sale. All were taken from my Pearson Ariel #292.  Please send me your email address and I will send you photos. I just sold my cruising asymmetrical spinnaker that was in "like new" condition. Thanks, Jim,  908 879-8268.

Thanks. I have 3-4 people interested in the spinnaker so I think it will sell. FYI, I also have the mainsail, storm jib, storm trisail, 120% genoa and 150% genoa all off my Pearson Ariel in case you are interested.

Have you made any decisions regarding my cruising spinnaker? I have several parties interested in it and would to sell it ASAP,  Thanks, Jim

Check out this link. It shows how to rig a cruising spinnaker if you have rolling furling.

The cruising spinnaker has 4 lines attached to it: 1)the halyard, 2) a tack control line which allows the foot of the spinnaker slide up or down the forestay to control shape, and 3) & 4) a port and starboard control sheet attached to the clew. On my Ariel, I ran the headsail halyard back to a winch on the cabin top so I could raise and lower the spinnaker single-handed. I ran the control sheets through a turning block on a track aft of the primary winch. No poles.

Both of these sails are still available. I also have a storm trisail, 120% genoa and 150% genoa, all were from my Pearson Ariel. The asymmetric spinnaker and trisail are in excellent condition. I will offer a significant discount for a package deal. We're getting ready to move so the sails have to go, thanks.

-1978 Johnson 15 HP long shaft 2 cylinder, 2 cycle outboard. FNR. Alternator. Comes with new short driveshaft and new short shifter linkage to convert it to normal shaft length (6 inch shorter) for use on another small boat but I never made the conversion. Was equipped with remote throttle control bracket. Comes with miscellaneous parts, water pump re-build kit, owners manual, etc. No fuel tank. Fits in Ariel motor well and lazarette. Replaced spark plugs and gear oil in lower unit every year and before putting in storage. Ran great and moved the Ariel easily but has not been run in 15 years.

I will sell items individually or as a lot. Buyer to pay shipping from Northern New Jersey. Pictures available. Please email inquiries to:
