If it's not obvious from the story (and knowing my writing it probably isn't) whoever was helming that thing rocked. It scared me a bit at first since I really thought he was going to t-bone the Catalina 37, but then perfect tack after perfect tack and he made his way through the marina on a very crazy day with a seriously loud high-pitched teenage crew yelling in delight the whole way.
