Title: Ceili is Launched!
Post by: DavidSpaulding on July 01, 2003, 06:13:37 AM
For me launch day is always a cocktail of equal parts giddy anticipation, trepidation, and satisafaction.  Launch Day 2003 was no different except it was a double.  The same day -- the same hour -- that my Commander, Ceili, was launched, I had to assist the new owner in the launch of the Typhoon I sold him.  Usual launch day stories -- morning boat hauler customers not ready at appointed hour, pushing back nno-time appointments, tide running out, etc.

Everything went pretty smoothly until it came to putting the 9.9 HP Suzuki in the lazarette.  Man, would I have been screwed if my dad didn't come along.  (Thanks, Dad!!)

Of course, once the smoke cleared and I was able to take her out into the mooring field, someone had moved my mooring!  I know, in a field of seemingly hundreds it often feels like the mooring's been moved, but this time it was.  I found it about TEN FEET away from the next closest ball!  Had to tie on to someone else's.  (Number 149, I owe you.)

Now, on to the stepping!
