Title: Ariel in BoatUS June/July 2014
Post by: ebb on June 18, 2014, 11:56:02 AM
It's unusual enough,  since BoatUS is  about boats without masts.

Evidently Ariel "SEAHORSE" is a 1965, based in Baltimore, MD.

Phil Young owns Young's boatyard near where the Potapsco River meets the Chesapeake Bay.  Seahorse was his Ariel for a number of years and only one of his many restorations of boats left behind by departed owners.  At one time there were two Commanders and four Ariels at Young's.  I think its down to one Ariel now as so many boats changed hands after the recession.  Most of the boats are still on the Chesapeake. Phil is currently sailing and cruising a Pearson Vanguard that he recently restored.
