Title: Mast replacement
Post by: commander93 on April 16, 2011, 04:39:09 PM
   Hi Everyone,

By way of introduction my name is Andrew and I just bought a Pearson Commander Hull #93 in Bermuda. This guy had the unfortunate problem of having its mast come down in the storm including all standing and running rigging. I've found a mast replacement (albiet not the same exact one). The mast doesn't have spreaders and is a bit shorter than I think the standard mast (I think the Commander had a mast height of about 31feet and the one I bought was about 30).

Quick question first:
1) How far up is the spreader base from the mast base
2) How long is the spreader itself (I know that the spreader length will need to have a 5 degree from horizontal and should bisect the upper and outer lower shroud) but I just need an approximation to see if my calculations are reasonable.

Wish me luck!

Please search before posting (mast, spreader, etc.)  The manual also may have answers.
