A couple of my friends and I are going to have my wife sew up some sail ties for us. We will be using the 1" wide nylon tubular webbing material in blue. The same thing at West Marine costs $17.99 each. If we can get enough people interested to buy at least 300 feet of the webbing we can reduce the cost of the raw materials a quite a bit.
For a 5' length with a 6" loop sewed into one end we can do these at $12.00 each for anyone interested (provided we can get to the minimum order) plus shipping cost. And of course if you need a differnat length we can adjust to what you need.
Any takers?
Jerry, why not just get some webbing from a climbing store like REI or EMS or this place < http://www.strapworks.com/Nylon_Webbing_p/tnw1.htm > ? At .40 cents or so a foot, get 12-15 feet, cut in lengths of 2-3 feet and you're good to go. I've got 4 2-3 foot lengths of webbing that work just fine. I loop them through the handrails when I'm sailing. It could be done for about $5.

Thanks for the lead on the SIGNIFICANTLY lower cost webbing. I really appreciate it. We were looking at the qrong place to get the material obviously.
