Title: Looking for suppliers of Rudder post to tiller connection and boom gooseneck
Post by: Bart on March 20, 2010, 08:32:59 AM
My Pearson Ariel has a worn bronze rudder post connection that goes from the rudder post to the tiller.  Also, the aluminum gooseneck fitting that connects the boom to the mast is worn.  Any help on suppliers of these would be great.

The gooseneck toggle will likely need to be a custom machine job.  Several examples on the board.

Not sure what you're describing about the rudder post.  There is a bearing that goes around the top of the shaft where it exits from the post that gets worn.  The association has had a supple of bearings made (see home page Rudder Post Bearing note).

I would look into having yours welded up and dressed down to the size you need to mate with the rest of the wear.   Or try //www.ensignspars.com same piece as a Electra or Ensign.
