Title: St John Beauty
Post by: Tony G on March 06, 2006, 04:19:42 PM
I watched this one for about a week but never caught up with the owner.  Capt. Phil didn't know too much about her and neither did the bar tender.  I mean, come on, working ten feet from the water you'd think he'd have his fingers on the pulse of the harbour!  Maybe I underestimated the effort that goes into slingin' rum drinks all day and night :D

Anyway, she's kinda growing on me...anybody know just what the make and model is on the beauty?

she appears to be a Columbia 50 (a Bill Tripp design)... //www.columbia50.com

her little sister (also a handsome boat is the Mercer 44, still in limited production) (//www.mercer44.org/)

I used to sail on and help maintain one of these . The boat was built for the Cushman family ( of motorscooter fame ) . The Ariel would fit in the main salon with room to spare .
They sail like a big Ariel , except at 10 knots !
