Title: Steaming Light on Mast

Does anyone know how it is wired in the mast.

I have an old deck plug that is going to be replaced it has five wires
in one wire deal. Why would you have five wire connectors need some
insight on this. I did not see any inlets or outlets on the mast. Where
should I look?

What's the boat's number?  Early models had the steaming light wire exiting from the side of the mast and into the cabin through a deck fitting.  Later models had a tube inside the mast step through which the wire passed into the cabin.  Some boats also have their coax cable for the VHF antenna exiting from the side of the mast and then into a seperate deck fitting.

It's 1962 first year of production. The deck fitting is just on the V-berth starboard side of the bulkhead. I didn't see anything on the mast.
Where should I look.
